The Mirror 10

The Mirror 10 is interactive art work that creates an ever-changing digital mirror image of the viewer based on the background variables encoded in the work. The work is part of the dance installation "The Mirror", where I study the data produced by the movement produced by the dancer, creating virtual, hologram-based landscapes from it. The Mirror 10 piece is part of this series of interactive installations that combine technology and art. I have been researching this fascinating field for a long time. Technologies have a lot to give to art, enabling new forms of expression and vice versa. Art has a lot to give to technology, helping to create a future where the surrounding information technology is increasingly "human", listening to people and better serving our needs. That's what the work is about. It makes visible the technology's way of seeing us, as bundles of information from which it tries to create its own interpretation. From our digital image, which can be seen on the mirror surface of the work, you can see a person we have not seen before. Virtual but real, virtual real.
